Ibrahim Mahama has spoken out following a meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohonu,shedding light on discussions held and expressing his expectations for justice and accountability.
His engagement with the IGP follows an alleged assault on him and his Uncle by the IGP’s Special operation team, known as the Black Maria.
Speaking to the press after his engagement with the IGP, Mr Mahama said that the IGP had given assurance that the issue will be handled very seriously at the highest level.
According to Mr Mahama, what they are seeking for is justice to be served, despite their good working relationships with the police.
Mr. Mahama continued that they are not looking out for compensation, emphazing on their quest for justice to assure people that victims of such assault can expect justice to be served.
