The minority leader and member of parliament for Effutu constituency, Honorable Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin has retracted his claims on the interior ministry’s illegal recruitment into the security service.
Making a statement on the floor of parliament on Wednesday March 4,2026, Hon. Afenyo Markin calmly redrew his allegations and apologized to the sector minister, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak.
“Contrary to the impression that he had, that I specifically made allegation against him which injures his reputation, I will do not that to him or his ministry and if the text of my consents reflects so, it is hereby withdrawn and apologize” Hon. minority leader stated.
However, the minority leader’s apology was cooly welcomed and accepted by the Honorable Minister of Interior, Muntaka Mubarak.
