From Seven Stars to None: Egypt’s Surprising World Cup Jersey Change.

The Pharaohs of Egypt will have to leave behind their African glory and the seven-star jersey that symbolizes it as they prepare for their first game at the World Cup.

It follows FIFA rules, which mandate that stars worn during the World Cup are reserved exclusively for teams that have won the FIFA World Cup.

In view of this, FIFA has directed Egypt to remove the Stars before their opening game against Belgium.

The Federation further urged that the golden colour used for the players’ names must also be changed.
