The President of the Republic of Ghana, His excellency John Dramani Mahama has said that Ghana is set to submit a motion to the United Nation against slavery and transatlantic slavery later this month.
His Excellency, the president made the statement during his speech at the 69th Independence Day celebration at the forecourt of Jubilee House on March 6, 2026.
“Later this month, Ghana will submit a motion to the United Nations declaring slavery and the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crimes against humanity”, he sated.
The President added that Ghana will lead a global call for dignity and restoration.
