The Minority leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has applauded the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, for what he describe as commendable effort in promoting tourism in his constituency.
His comment follows the recent launch of Gomoa Easter Carnival by Hon Asare Obeng. The event, described as major cultural, musical, and economic project, aims at boost tourism and local economic growth in the Gomoa East Constituency.
Speaking on the floor of parliament on March 27, Hon. Afenyo Markin said that with the hard work of Hon. Asare Obeng in his constituency, he is really showcasing the Gomoa enclave and mus be encouraged.
“This morning, he brought the Paramount Chief of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area and they were engaging MPs, trying to attract all of us to the enclave” Hon. Afenyo Markin added.
He further encouraged other members to do the same, to attract visitors and boost local economic growth in their constituencies.
