The Ministry of Health has applauded the Judicial Action in an assault case involving a midwife at the Tema community 22 polyclinic.
According to a statement released by the ministry’s PR unit, the ministry firmly backs the conviction of Desmond Bosomtwe, who was found guilty of assaulting a health worker.
The culprit, Desmond Bosomtwe, was convicted to a fine of Gh¢1200.00, a bond of good behavior, restricted access to health facilities, and compensation of Gh¢5000.00 to the victim.
However, the ministry further commended the Ghana Police Service for its role in ensuring that justice was served, while reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on acts of violence against health workers.
