The Minister for Energy and Green Transition honorable John Abdulai Jinapor has disclose government’s plan to distributes standardized and accurate electric meters and transformers across the country.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, the minister indicated that ECG budget for this year is Ghs 1.8 billion, adding that on this budget, government is prioritizing electric meters and transformers.
Hon. Jinapo continued that beginning from next month, there will mass distribution of electric meters and transformers nationwide as part of measure to strengthen revenue collection in the energy sector.
He further assured Parliament that the meters meet the required standards and will deliver as expected.
