The Ghana Health Service has set up an investigation committee to unravel the circumstances leading to the death of the 29-year-old engineer Charles Amissah alleged to have been denied emergency medical care by several health facilities.
According to the statement released by the ministry, the incident has raised importance public reaction about emergency health delivery in Ghana
However, the committee is task to reveal all the details leading to the demise of Mr. Amissah after he suffered injuries in a hit and run accident on February 6, 2026.
The statement also added that the committee invites the public, healthcare workers, eyewitness and civil society organizations to submit written inputs, testimonies or information related to emergency healthcare experiences.
It further stated that all contributions must be received by 11th march, 2026.
