Shatta Wale contributes $100,000 to world cup fund raising initiative.

Ghanaian dancehall music star, Charles Nii Armah popularly known as Shatta wale has donated $100,000 into the world cup fund raising initiative, to support the black star participation in the world cup and international friendly.

The world cup fundraising initiative is launched to seek financial support from private sector, corporate organizations, and all Ghanaians to cushion the black stars in the upcoming world cup tournament.

Speaking at the event, the music star urged all Ghanaian to support the call through the short code *899*26#, taking the black stars to the tournament.

The world cup is set to commence on June 11 to July 19, 2026, with 48 teams from across the world, converging on pitches in 16 North American cities.

The tournament will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico and is set to redefine the scale of global football with an estimated number of 5 to 7.3 million total spectators across the globe
